I’ve been able to do another DC military family photo session. And they are always a ton of fun! I recently got to work with Sarah and Matt’s family. They have 3 adorable children aged 4 to 8. And we actually were connected because we both moved to VA from West Point. I enjoyed getting to know the kids better and observed how each child had a unique personality.

Andrew, the eldest was able to morph into any pose, completely self-directed. In fact, he had the “power pose” I usually teach for corporate heads down pat – with no guidance at all! It just came naturally to him. I suspect a highly influential leader will arise in the future! Kaitlyn – even though she was dolled up and looked like a princess – assured me she was NOT into girly things. Kaitlyn also had great posing ideas and I loved getting the running ones! Bryden reminded me of my youngest – a sweet, kind, loving and affectionate little guy- whose smile just melted my heart!

At the end of this special military family session, all the kiddos embraced me. And despite the crazy cold weather, my heart was warm and full! This is why I love my job! I hope that you all (Sarah, Matt, and crew) continue to thrive here in the DC area. Further, I hope that wherever the Army takes you next (Looks like CO!), I hope that it will have FAR LESS traffic, great hockey rinks, and plenty of friends to go around! So, please keep in touch.
